I used December, all of January and half of February to complete 3 new paintings and organize a small, new book. Early this week "Myst" was released through Lulu Publishers, and this is my first Journal entry since mid-December.
With the remainder of this week I began to put away the paintings from the "Myst" theme. I pulled out a blank panel and prepared more small cardstock as I began developing a new theme - or, at least, a new painting.

Really a good week for painting. Put aside the cardstock and started painting on some small panels I had...although 3 small paintings are not finished, the result promises to be sound enough to probably develop a new theme from the basic idea. Heard from the art department of my alma mater high school.

Worked on the 3 small paintings. Mailed a copy of my 3 books to my alma mater high school, and my new book "Myst" to the Stephen Crane House. Received nice confirmations and thanks from both.

Finished my 5 little paintings. Walled off most of my web gallery with a password that I sent to friends. Contacted the museum about showing my "Myst" paintings and was promised consideration at their Fall meeting - I hope to find a gallery by then.

Stopped at the school store and bought 4 tubes of colorful paint as an Easter present to myself. Began looking into area galleries to show my recent work...reminded me of years ago when just a few galleries first began to have websites and I used the Yellow Pages. Now, of course, they all have websites.

When I get about halfway finished a new theme I stop posting new paintings...and focus on completing the theme. I am a little more than half finished 20 small paintings...I will make new entries when I am all done in a month or two, or if something newsworthy drops from the sky...
