Began 3 new paintings, possibly to add to the next version of "Journeys" near the end of this year. Said goodbye to volunteering at the Cheltenham Art Center - they no longer need the help during Summer Art Camp and I have our children to watch at home during summer vacation. Gave 'my boss' a copy of "Journeys" and I got a big bag of almonds.

Getting our children ready for school took up much of my time this week, plus there is an end of summer vacation for some of us. However, I did put a solid day into my current painting, leaving just some finishing strokes for next week when it should be quiet. Corresponded briefly with Barnes & Noble about the status of "Over 100 Oil Paintings".

It is too quiet and uneventful around here with Lorna, George and Rose visiting in the Philippines. They will be back soon, and I am grateful. Almost finished a new painting amidst all the quiet. Spent time at my children's orientations for art school. Sent a copy of my book to the 3 largest US libraries hoping they will want more copies for their branches.
Friday, September 11, 2009
Before the 3 travellers returned from their visit I finished a painting from memory of a nice time Lorna and I had several years ago at a coffee shop. Then I was very busy picking up my family at the airport, and later bringing them home from school each day until they are settled.

Friday, December 18, 2009 to year's end
The holidays allowed me to have a clearer vision of what I needed to accomplish in order to complete a new collection or theme of my work. Rather than simply have Journal entries that say "Made progress on my new paintings" I have decided to suspend Journal entries until the work is complete, hopefully by Spring 2010.

Wishing you a blessed New Year !
