Worked on sketches and themes for new paintings. Began to feel constricted by my limited number of remaining panels so I bought a new sheet of wood and cut a half dozen more panels...that still need to be prepared.
Friday, June 13, 2008
Began a new painting - a good one, that captures a likeness well. Telephoned the gallery that I sent a proposal - left a messsage on the recorder.
Friday, June 20, 2008
Found out that the gallery I sent my proposal to closed 6 months ago after my package was "returned to sender". Dropped off the same proposal to another gallery. Almost finished my new painting.

A full week. Called the latest gallery reviewing my work, but they see nothing opening in the next 6 months. Contacted our Free Library system about the procedure for getting a book accepted. Spoke with an owner of a gallery/yoga studio about a possible show - we are both thinking about it.
Finished an updated version of our Musings book titled Musings 2008, although there is one idea I am considering that I did not include as yet - what if I included one small original painting in each book?.
Friday, September 26, 2008
A week of soul searching, intense computer work and mind boggling publishing concepts. While expanding/updating our desktop Musings book last week was hard work, it was straightfoward. Developing a new book for offifcial publication is quite a challenge. I had to put "100 Oil Paintings" off to the side as I develop a bigger book.
One of my small paintings was sold at Cheltenham Art Center's BreastStrokes Exhibit on Sunday
as a donation towards Breast Cancer Awareness.
"...warm..."
Contacted the gallery/yoga studio about a show...no response yet. Contacted the Free Library and was told my 2 books are being reviiewed by their Art Department. Only 'thought' about new paintings this week.
"Cool !"
